“Massage is not a luxury, but an essential maintenance check-up for the body, just like a service for your car”

Leith Treatments is a massage practice run from the heart of Leith. We specialise in sports injuries, chronic conditions, acute injuries, relaxation and reflexology.

The practice is run by myself, director Gwen Dolan (DARM RMT DSM DIR SMTO) and I’ve been studying with Scottish Massage Schools since 2007.

After spending 10 years in the leisure trade, I knew well the exhaustion that comes with working long hours, and the aches and pains that came with being on your feet for at least 8 hours a day. Lower back pain and ‘tired’ feet and legs were a constant and I often tried various treatments to remedy this.

It was when I was pregnant and suffering from sciatica that I became interested in alternative therapies.

After receiving Reiki (which banished the sciatica for the rest of the pregnancy!), studying Reflexology soon followed. This led to the discovery of the massage school which has led me down an amazing path of study and discovery.

My passion for anatomy and massage has grown and I’m now developing a keen interest in nutrition and core function. My clients include corporates, labourers, pregnant ladies, bar staff, drivers, students, tradesmen, office workers, golfers, runners, dancers, musicians… in fact anyone who will benefit from my massage treatments!
